（早川書房）		 　アメリカの推理小説家レスリー・チャータリスが生み出した義賊的な怪盗。

　犯罪現場に頭のまわりに後光をもった人間の線画を残していく癖を持っているため〈セイント〉と呼ばれています。

　生い立ちは不明ですが、「聖者ニューヨークに現わる」の際にその人物像が語られています。当時31歳で身長６フィート２インチ（188センチ）、体重175ポンド（80キロ）。黒髪に眼は藍色、左肩上に貫通銃創、右の二の腕に８インチ（20センチ）の傷があり、弁舌さわやかで大胆不敵。いつも完璧な服装で、かなりの食通。拳銃を常に携帯し、ナイフ投げの名手でもあります。

　イギリスだけでなく世界各地を舞台に犯罪的手段によって犯罪者と闘い続けるその姿は現代のロビン・フッドと言われ世界各地に多くの読者を獲得しました。
